Caravan and static caravan transport

Vehicle you need

A flatbed or beaver-tail carries a caravan that can't or shouldn't be towed; wide statics may need a low-loader and movement order.

Touring caravans are often moved on a flatbed when they can't be towed — no roadworthy chassis, no tow vehicle, or an off-road destination. The caravan is winched or craned onto the bed and secured.

Static caravans and park homes are wider and heavier, frequently qualifying as abnormal loads. These need a low-loader, route planning and sometimes an escort.

Confirm dimensions and weight up front so the operator can bring the right vehicle and permits.
